Instructor Qualifications
Thomas has spent over $10,000 training to defend himself and his family (hey, its fun too!). With over 1,000 hours of professional firearms training, there are few instructors with Thomas’ background in firearms and defensive training. Thomas is passionate at customizing/tailoring training to the client’s best interest.

After attending many defensive training “schools”, Thomas believes the very best school (including cost/benefit/quality) is Marksmanship Matters (http://marksmanshipmatters.com)

Thomas graduated from the Marksmanship Matters Handgun Instructor Training School (HITS).  HITS has not been taught by Larry Mudgett  for over a decade and the first time ever to civilians.

Thomas is licensed with the State of Utah as a CFP Instructor.

Thomas has also completed a 3 day course in “Combat Pistol Instructor School” (Houston Feb, 2010)

Thomas also completed Citizen’s assisting police(CAP) academy and volunteers with his local police department. Thomas is also Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trained.

As an Eagle Scout, Thomas learned to “Be Prepared” and has expanded that into being ready to help others at all times.

Thomas’  first professional firearms class was a 2-Day Defensive Handgun class (April 2008). Learning that he knew very little about defending himself, and that professional firearms training was the path to being unconsciously competent.  Hey, its fun when you excel and achieve in life & firearms training.  When you train professionally, you will meet your best friends!

With over 1,000 hours of professional training, Thomas “doesn’t have enough training” and feels one is never DONE training because you will always  continuously learn and improve. Holding a CFP does not mean you no longer need any additional training (Good start).
