I love my decked drawer system for “preps” and adventure gear and tools. But initially it was a major pain trying to get a motorcycle in the truck bed with “decked”.

Here is my solution to this problem! I bought two steel ramps from harbor frieght and I thought I would hook them together, but then when I was fabricating that I had the idea, why not a mini-ramp to go from the tailgate to the top of the decked!?!

So, with the help of an angle grinder cut-off wheel. I fab’d a mini-ramp. Using twist ties I can secure the mini-ramp to the larger ramp and drive the motorcycle up the ramp and onto the decked truck drawer system.

TIP: Use a tri-fold ramp so the human/person can walk the bike up the ramps.  I can NOW load my bike safely by myself.

notice the small customized ramp. the tri-fold ramp is handy for the human to walk up with the bike.
notice Nite Ize twist ties tie the small and large ramp together so you don’t have any problems.

    Looks like a great solution.
Corbin dumped his bike off the edge of the trailer. Not enough momentum to go up the ramp and stalled out right at the top. No where to put his leg when it stopped rolling. He earned a couple abrasions and ended up replacing his tail light and blinkers on the Left side as well as a couple plastic parts that got damaged.

I know this is an old post, but do you have any photos of your bikes tied down in the back? I want a decked system but I feel like the front tire would be pushing against the rear window as there only seems to be about 10″ from the top of the decked to the top of the bed. Thanks for anything you can send me so I can see how you prevent the tires from breaking the back window.

Mark, on my truck, I didn’t have issues with the dirt bike tire hurting the glass. I bought a tonneau and the front wheel would press against that.

I put a bike in sideways and had a close call, the bike handle bar fell on my window, but didn’t break it. so make sure you have a 90 degree strap going to the rear of the truck too.
